Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Monday 23rd March
Contract Type: Full-time | 5 days per week
Are you an energetic and motivated Sports Coach looking to support young people through physical activity and mentorship?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Sports Coach to work in a school setting in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role involves providing 1:1 support to pupils, helping them stay engaged, active, and focused throughout the school day.
About the Role:
As a Sports Coach, you will use sport and physical activity to support pupils’ engagement, behaviour, and wellbeing. You will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to help pupils build confidence, improve teamwork skills, and stay motivated in both classroom and physical activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to pupils within the school environment
* Deliver structured sports and physical activities
* Use sport to promote positive behaviour, confidence, and wellbeing
* Encourage participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
* Support pupils with focus and engagement throughout the school day
* Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
Requirements:
* Experience working as a Sports Coach or supporting young people in sports settings
* Strong communication and motivational skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
* Must be available 5 days per week
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – essential
* Reliable, proactive, and committed to supporting pupils
