Job Description
We’re looking for a confident, qualified Fire Systems Engineer to join a specialist team working on commercial and industrial fire detection systems nationwide. If you’re technically skilled, standards-driven, and ready to take ownership of complex projects, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
* Install, commission, and maintain fire alarm systems (addressable & non-addressable)
* Work with technologies including air sampling, beam detection, and wireless solutions
* Deliver systems in line with BS5839 and best practice
* Handle programming and cause/effect configuration across multiple manufacturers
* Supervise contractors on site (SSSTS required)
* Complete all compliance documentation to FIA/BAFE standards
* Conduct system handovers and client demonstrations
* Travel to sites nationwide, with some overnight stays
What You’ll Need:
* 5+ years’ experience in the fire alarm industry
* FIA Advanced & Commissioning qualifications
* Full understanding of BS5839 (all parts)
* Ability to work independently and in customer-facing roles
* Certifications: ECS/CSCS, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness, SSSTS
* Full UK driving licence
* Flexible and responsive to short-notice travel and occasional on-call duties
