We are looking for a passionate Maths Lecturer to join the team here at Bradford College and contribute to our mission of Transforming Lives.
Working within our Adult Skills Department, the successful candidate will primarily teach GSCE and Functional Skills Maths to adult learners both in a college setting and in the community.
We welcome applications from NQTs for this position.
This is a fill-time role working 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities include:
1. To teach on courses specified by the Head of Department/Team Leader.
2. To participate actively in the development of curriculum; and where appropriate in cross College marketing activities.
3. To participate actively in the enrolment, induction, monitoring, profiling and initial assessment of students or trainees.
4. To devise individual learning plans and provide support for learners in line with the requirements of the course.
5. To be responsible to the Head of Department/Team Leader for student discipline, counselling and guidance relating to all assigned classes.
6. To be responsible for the supervision and management of students on placements and offsite visits and activities where appropriate.
7. To act as academic and pastoral tutor to assigned students.
