We’re supporting a well-established, inclusive primary school in BS37 with their September recruitment, and they’re looking for full-time Teaching Assistants who bring solid SEN and 1:1 support experience to the table. The role You’ll be working closely with pupils who need consistent, tailored support, often on a 1:1 basis. This isn’t a “floating TA” position. You’ll be: Building strong, trusting relationships with individual pupils Supporting children with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD and SEMH Helping pupils regulate emotions and engage with learning Adapting classroom activities to meet individual needs Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and external professionals Your impact will be seen in the small moments, a child staying in class, joining an activity, or feeling confident enough to try. What you’ll need This school is looking for people who can hit the ground running. You must have: Proven experience supporting children with SEN Strong 1:1 support experience in a school or similar setting Confidence managing behaviour and supporting emotional regulation A calm, patient and consistent approach The ability to build trust quickly and maintain clear boundaries If your experience is more general classroom support without SEN focus, this one won’t be the right fit.
