The Role
You’ll teach Humanities subjects across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and thought-provoking content. The school has excellent resources and a committed department that fosters discussion, curiosity, and perspective.
Responsibilities Include:
* Plan and teach well-structured Humanities lessons
* Support students in developing subject knowledge and skills
* Encourage discussion, debate, and analytical thinking
* Prepare pupils for GCSE assessments in History, Geography, or RS
* Promote awareness of cultural and historical contexts
Essential Requirements:
* QTS and a degree in History, Geography, or related discipline
* Ability to teach mixed-ability classes
* Strong subject knowledge across the Humanities
* Good classroom management and organisational skills
Desirable:
* Experience teaching more than one Humanities subject
* Familiarity with exam specs (GCSE, AQA/Edexcel)
* Involvement in extra-curricular or enrichment activities
