About the role: As a Service Engineer / Applications Chemist at Vapourtec, you will support our cutting-edge flow chemistry systems through installation, commissioning, and ongoing service. This role suits a proactive problem-solver who enjoys applying technical expertise, collaborating with scientists, and engaging with customers worldwide. Duties and Responsibilities include: Installation, commissioning, and qualification of Vapourtec flow chemistry systems in customer laboratories worldwide. Perform preventative maintenance, upgrades, and repair services to ensure equipment reliability and optimal research results. Provide exceptional support to chemists and researchers through phone, email, and online platforms - offering troubleshooting and application guidance. Engage with customers to discuss chemical applications, gather feedback, and share best practises. Contribute to the creation of technical bulletins, guides, and training materials to enhance customer experience. About you: As a Service Engineer / Applications Chemist, you will be a motivated individual with a degree (or Higher Diploma/NVQ Level 3) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. At least 2 years' experience in laboratory service, applications, or installation is preferred, though strong practical graduates with a passion for learning are welcome. Hands-on lab skills, problem-solving ability, and clear communication are essential, along with a willingness to travel worldwide. A full UK driving license is required.
