About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Health & Safety Manager to join our team on a major onshore wind farm project near Inverness. Working on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor, you will play a key role in ensuring that all site operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management on site.

Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
*
Lead toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings for site teams and subcontractors.
*
Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and company H&S procedures.
*
Support the site management team in promoting a strong safety culture.
*
Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and non-conformances.
*
Liaise with client representatives, local authorities, and regulatory bodies as required.
Requirements:
*
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
*
Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager within the construction or civil engineering sectors
*
Excellent knowledge of UK H&S legislation and best practice.
*
Strong communication and leadership skills.
*
Ability to work independently and proactively manage HSE issues on site.
*
Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence
