We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team due to the expansion of our setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning and development. Duties • Supervise and care for children in a nursery setting, ensuring their safety at all times • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support early childhood development • Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and social interaction • Support children's emotional and behavioural needs through positive reinforcement and guidance • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities • Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily routines and special events • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and wellbeing • Assist with the organisation of nursery resources, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are upheld Skills • Experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or childcare environments • To fully understand your roles and responsibilities in regard to safeguarding • Strong understanding of child development principles and age-specific needs • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members • Organised with the ability to plan activities that stimulate learning and development • Compassionate, patient, and attentive to individual children's needs • To have a solid understanding on the EYSF and child development • To be eager to extend your proffessional development in learning and education through training and mentoring Benefits • Sick Pay • Discounted childcare • Heath and Well Being support • On site Parking • Professional Development This position provides an enriching environment for those passionate about early childhood education.
