Overview: We are seeking personable, enthusiastic, and proactive Quantity Surveyors to join our clients Major Infrastructure projects team, contributing to the continued growth of our business and supporting the delivery of critical UK Infrastructure projects.
You will work across a variety of client projects, delivering best-in-class cost management and contributing to successful outcomes in line with project and organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Client and Stakeholder Engagement -
* Build and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders involved in projects.
* Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert guidance and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
Contract Administration -
* Manage and administer a variety of contracts, ensuring adherence to project objectives, governance frameworks, and best practices.
* Implement contract change management processes effectively to keep projects on track.
Cost Management -
* Monitor, forecast, and report project costs accurately to completion, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
* Proactively identify and manage cost variances and maintain contractcash flow integrity.
* Prepare and submit applications and valuations in a timely manner.
Project Delivery -
* Work collaboratively with client and contractor teams to achieve project deliverables, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
* Provide robust commercial knowledge to stakeholders and assist in making data-driven decisions.
* Support project KPIs and objectives by driving improvements in budget and forecast accuracy.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
* You could be working as a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager for either a Construction Consultancy, Contractor or working Client side - Must have strong understanding/ working experience of NEC3/4 contracts focussing on Infrastructure projects (could be Utilities, Highways, Aviation, Power/ Energy/ Renewables, Nuclear or similar sector
* Education: Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
* Professional Memberships: Ideally MRICS, MCIPS, or working towards similar (desirable)
