Key responsibilities include:
Lead the end-to-end procurement strategy for a major bus franchising programme.
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with public sector governance and commercial objectives.
Engage with legal, technical, and operational teams to ensure procurement activity supports wider programme goals.
Manage complex stakeholder environments, including political, commercial, and community interests.
Oversee procurement processes for multi-million-pound contracts, ensuring compliance, value for money, and innovation
Profile
A successful Interim Strategic Procurement Manager should have:
Proven experience creating procurement strategies from scratch in complex, regulated environments.
Strong background in public sector procurement, ideally within transport, infrastructure, rail, bus, FM or construction.
Experience managing high-value procurements (£multi-million) with strategic impact.
Ability to navigate political and public sector landscapes with confidence and discretion.
MCIPS or equivalent qualification preferred.Job Offer
£700p/d outside IR35.
Hybrid working - 1 day required each week on-site.
