What you'll be doing:
As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for planning, preparation, cooking and presentation of food to the standard required by the Company and the Client. You will also be responsible for all stock control, waste control and ensuring that all hygiene and H&S requirements are met to the highest standards. You will work closely with our leadership team on site.
Your key responsibilities will include:
13. Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
14. Overseeing and implementing menu changes
15. Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
16. Listening and acting on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
17. Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
18. Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
19. Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked
20. Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
21. Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Satefty regulations
Our ideal Sous Chef will:
22. Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
23. Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
24. Have experience supervising a team
25. Have experience in a similar Chef role
26. Hold a Food Hygiene certificate
27. Have a flexible approach to working
