They’re now looking for an Environmental Manager who wants to make a genuine impact, shaping environmental performance, influencing project outcomes from day one, and driving best practice across multiple sectors. What You’ll Be Doing: Driving Environmental Excellence — Provide specialist environmental support across Civils frameworks and wider sectors, ensuring projects embed sustainability and best practice from the outset. Shaping Projects from Day One — Lead pre‑construction environmental planning, risk reviews, and mitigation strategies to set projects up for success. Owning Key Environmental Documentation — Develop high‑quality regulatory permissions, risk assessments, CEMPs and supplementary plans such as Water and Nuisance Management Plans. Championing Compliance on Site — Support operational teams with audits, monitoring (dust, noise, water, vibration), method statement reviews, and implementation of permits and consents. Leading Incident Learning & Improvement — Investigate environmental incidents, liaise with regulators, and share lessons learned to strengthen performance across the business. Who They’re Looking For: A Confident Environmental Specialist — Someone experienced in construction or civils who can provide expert guidance across multiple project types and sectors. A Strong Communicator & Influencer — Able to engage with site teams, clients, supply chain partners and senior stakeholders to drive environmental performance. A Proactive Problem‑Solver — Comfortable reviewing risks, challenging substandard performance, and identifying opportunities for cost‑saving environmental improvements.
