Associate Assessor & IQA - Fashion/Interior Design - Remote

We are looking for experienced and qualified Associate Tutors/Assessors and IQA’s to support the delivery of our courses in;
1. Fashion Design
2. Interior Design
These roles offer flexible working hours, depending on caseload and associate availability. We’re looking for applicants that hold a certificate in the relevant subject specialism, hold a recognised teaching or assessment qualification and have experience of tutoring adult learners. In addition, we are seeking applicants who can also undertake IQA duties too.
We operate a completely flexible remote working model. Working on a self-employed Contract for Services basis, the role involves tutoring students and assessing their work remotely via our online training portal.
Rates of pay vary depending on the course and level.
You will be responsible for organising and managing your own workload whilst maintaining the highest level of standards. Each of our subject areas is faculty driven and as an Associate member of the team you will have direct contact with a Head of Faculty to support you with caseload management, learner queries and assessment processes.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
3. Marking of assessments and learner assignment submissions, within a timely manner
4. Provide support to learners by answering queries, e.g. HubSpot tickets
5. To maintain appropriate subject/expert knowledge in the subject areas for which Assessor responsibilities are agreed.
6. Assist in tracking and reporting progress of learners as required
7. Actively uphold all of the organisation’s policies & procedures, including Safeguarding and Health and Safety, GDPR.
8. Attend, and actively contribute, to standardisation meetings as requested by Head of Faculty
9. *IQA ONLY - Upholding the organisations Internal Quality Assurance processes, working with Awarding Bodies
10. * IQA ONLY - Provide support to individual assessors and relevant assessment team(s) in relation to course requirements, delivery methodology and assessment.
11. *IQA ONLY - Reporting on monthly IQA reports
What we are looking for in you (Essential):
12. Have worked within the fashion design industry for a minimum of 2 years and have a portfolio of work for review
13. Have an excellent level of written English
14. Must have a recognised qualification at level 4 or higher in Fashion Design e.g. HND
15. Must hold an assessing qualification such as CAVA level 3 or A1 (or equivalent)
16. Must hold a V1 or D34 (or equivalent) in IQA
17. Have the ability to problem solve using own initiative
18. Be able to research supportive answers to student questions
19. Be able to provide high quality assessment decisions
20. Be digitally skilled in Microsoft Office, email and other commonly used platforms
21. Be proactive and self-motivated
22. Have excellent written communication skills
23. Be able to work as a part of a wider team
24. Be able to work within existing processes and procedures
25. Maintain own professional development to ensure the highest quality service to learners
