Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Contract Manager to oversee and manage contracts within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and negotiation skills, with a background in project management, particularly in the construction sector. This role role would suit a junior or developing contracts manager who can demonstrate excellent organisational abilities and effective communication skills to ensure all contractual obligations are met while fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.
A company vehicle will be provided for travel between sites.

Duties
* Manage the entire lifecycle of contracts from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve favourable outcomes for the organisation.
* Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of all contractual obligations.
* Coordinate resources and manage sub-contractors and other trades to ensure effective and timely delivery of projects.
* Monitor contract performance, identifying any issues or discrepancies and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of contracts, correspondence, and documentation using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Conduct regular inspections to benchmark quality and produce sign-off sheets, ensuring all work meets our high standards.
* Adhere to and enforce all company and HSE guidelines on-site, including welfare arrangements and site security.
* Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
* Assist with raising monthly valuations and the reporting on project status to the company director.
Requirements
* Previous experience in contract management or a similar role within the construction industry is highly desirable.
* Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
* Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
* A solid understanding of construction techniques, materials and processes.
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
* Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* A valid UK driving licence is required to travel between sites as required.
* A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
