API Capacitors is part of the API Holdings group, which comprises of the following sister companies; PPI Engineering Ltd (motor/generator design and manufacture), API Engineering Ltd (supplier of steel mill and mining equipment) and API Stone Ltd (supplier of bespoke stonework cladding for buildings)
API is seeking a technically competent External Sales Engineer to promote and sell power electronic capacitor solutions and designs to customers across industrial and OEM markets. The role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen to develop new business and support existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage customer relationships, identifying new sales opportunities
* Provide technical advice on capacitor selection, application, and performance
* Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical documentation
* Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver customer solutions
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements
* Support customers through the full sales cycle, from enquiry to delivery
Ideal candidate:
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Willingness to travel.
* Willingness to join weekly meetings, relating to production and sales.
* Some power electronics knowledge.

Must have:
* Sales experience, ideally allied to power electronic/ pulse power products..
* Degree qualified, HNC/HND, or demonstrable time served experience in industry sectors.
