Overview
Rochdale Sixth Form College (RSFC) opened in 2010 to address underachievement in A Level performance in the borough. The college is rated Ofsted outstanding and is consistently ranked as one of the highest performing colleges in the country according to the DfE performance tables and national achievement rate tables.
The Role
As a Teacher of Psychology at RSFC, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality A Level Psychology education to a diverse and ambitious student body. You’ll plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons that stretch and support students to achieve their full potential. You’ll contribute to a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and mutual respect.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Teach allocated students by planning teaching to achieve progression of learning in accordance with RSFC policies.
* Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students are supported to succeed.
* Using data to monitor student progress and implement strategies to support achievement.
* Participating in departmental planning, assessment, and curriculum development.
* Monitoring and intervening when teaching to ensure effective learning and maintain a safe environment in which students feel confident.
* Engaging in the college’s extensive enrichment programme and wider college life.
* Contributing to the sharing of best practice and continuous improvement within the Psychology faculty.
