Job Title: Deskside/End User Support Technician (2-Month Contract, Umbrella)

Rate: £140/day (umbrella company only)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Deskside/End User Support Technician to provide onsite IT support for end users. This is a 2-month contract role, offering the opportunity to troubleshoot, maintain, and resolve IT issues in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide first- and second-line support to end users at their desks.
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
* Install, configure, and upgrade desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
* Assist with password resets, software installations, and access requests.
* Escalate complex issues to the appropriate IT teams while maintaining clear communication with users.
* Maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions in the IT ticketing system.
* Support onboarding and offboarding of employees by setting up or decommissioning IT equipment.
* Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in deskside or end user support roles.
* Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and common business applications.
* Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
Desirable:
* Experience with Active Directory, remote desktop tools, or ticketing systems (eg, ServiceNow, Jira).
* Basic knowledge of networking and printers.
Contract Details:
* Fixed-term, 2-month contract.
* Umbrella company engagement only.
* Full-time onsite in Southampton.
