Role
The cellar person holds a key position in our venue operation, responsible for O2 Academy Birmingham’s cellar and storerooms, stock control and delivery procedures, and supporting our team to ensure our bars our executed to the highest standard across a wide variety of live shows and events.

About you
1. Experience in cellar management in the hospitality or live events industry
2. Understanding of health and safety regulations
3. Proficiency in stock management
4. Experience in delivery shifts
5. Competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
6. Knowledge of relevant licencing laws

What you’ll be doing
15. Maintaining clean and tidy cellar and storeroom areas
16. Oversee cellar management during shifts and live events
17. Stock movement and rotation in the cellar, storerooms and bars
18. Supervision of incoming deliveries
19. Weekly and monthly stock counts as directed by the bars department
20. Cleaning lines and changing barrels
21. Staff training in maintaining cellar equipment
22. Produce maintenance schedules and repair requirements
23. Report malfunctions of services
24. Contribute to improvements in processes for maximum cellar efficiency
25. Supervision of casual staff
26. Highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene across all bar and cellar operations
