Overview
Maths Academic Coach — Immediate start until July 2026. £81 - £101 per day. 'Good' secondary school, Wolverhampton.
Responsibilities
* Work with the maths department to close gaps and build confidence.
* Lead short intervention groups, provide 1:1 tutoring, reinforce fluency, reasoning and problem-solving.
* Support revision and exam technique.
* Prepare simple resources, log impact, and share clear next steps with teachers.
The Candidate
* You hold a maths or related STEM degree, explain concepts clearly, and keep sessions purposeful.
* You're organised, reliable, and motivated to progress towards teacher training.
Requirements
* Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
* Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
* Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
* Desire to work in education/with children - Genuine interest in pupil progress and wellbeing.
* Experience working with children - Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
