Job Description
Location: Nelson - Office based
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 DOE
Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 17:00 or 9:00 - 17:30 (37.5 hours/week)
Daisy is seeking a passionate IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have high technical proficiency and experience in complex integration and separation projects. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure, with a focus on security, networking, and cloud platforms (AWS and Azure). This role offers the chance to shape Daisy's core IT infrastructure to be robust, secure, and adaptable.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide technical support and assist with the implementation of Daisy's standalone IT infrastructure.
2. Design, support, and optimize physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructure.
3. Collaborate with external networking, infrastructure, and support teams.
4. Install and configure servers, hardware, services, and storage according to standards and project requirements.
5. Research and recommend automated system administration approaches.
6. Document server procedures and system designs.
7. Monitor systems for availability and integrity.
8. Act as an escalation point for support teams.
9. Mentor junior IT team members.
10. Respond to Cyber Security alerts.
Qualifications
1. Experience with project implementation and planning.
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, VMware/Hyper-V, Windows Server (2012r2-2022), Backup tools (Rubrik, DPM).
3. Strong system administration skills, security, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure).
4. Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, GPO expertise.
5. Cyber security knowledge and Microsoft 365 experience.
Advantageous Skills
1. Experience with System Centre Suite, CASB/DLP, ZTNA (Zscaler), SAN storage (Dell, HPE).
2. Networking (FortiGate, Meraki, Cisco), Linux skills, CyberArk, Contact Centre platforms, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO27001:2022.
