With direct exposure to the CFO and other senior stakeholders, The Group Accountant has the opportunity to form a business partnership with senior Finance and operational managers across the business. Rare for a Group role to steps out of the shadows of being anything but routine and IFRS, and into the limelight of fast pace, energetic and interesting accounting! Other responsibilities of this role include and are not limited to;
* Financial Reporting including half and full year accounting and consolidation (Over arching exposure to the who business!)
* Preparation of Group Management Accountants including commentary and Financial Analysis (visionary and insightful information that supports commercial decision making)
* Taking a lead relationship with the banks and lenders managing extremely large cash values
* Adhoc projects around supporting systems, better processes, accounting standards, changes to group structures and high level projects all speer headed and led by group finance!
* Business partnering with multiple stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation. including exposure with the CFO / CEO ad Group FC
Essentially this role is targeting a qualified ACA/ACCA likely making their first step into industry from a Big4 or a top10 firm of accountants where they have managed a similar corporate/mid to large client portfolio, and understand the complexity and requirements presented in a shareholder driven business. It will require a careful eye for the detail and exquisite articulation when it comes to writing reports and presenting to the CFO and senior leadership. This goes hand in hand with the need to have excellent communication skills where you will influence and guide other key stakeholdes both financial and operational in capacity in this highly visable role.
