The Key Account Manager is required to maximize opportunities, manage risk, deliver on profitability goals, develop effective long-term business relationships and exceed customer expectations, within their portfolio of accounts.
How will you create impact?
1. Develop bi-annual business plans that deliver upon company goals and meet customer needs
2. Deliver product presentations, business proposals and ad plans to customers on time
3. Understand the customer timelines and proactively provide customers with all information and materials required to make decisions and manage business effectively
4. Work with support team to develop forecasts that best reflect market realities; update forecasts as required, on a monthly basis as a minimum
5. Timely and effective review of actual performance to ensure goals are achieved and adjust plans as necessary
6. Manage customer specific budgets and update Salesforce
7. Analysis of sell through data and market intelligence to maximize business opportunities while minimising risk
8. Communicate clearly and efficiently with customers; and provide fast solutions to challenges
9. Work proactively and effectively with team members to deliver best possible customer service
10. Quickly gain a thorough understanding of all account business objectives and marketing plans by gaining multi-level and cross functional contacts within your account portfolio
11. Develop innovative sales and marketing led account plans that will maximise Spin Master’s performance within each account
12. Co-ordinate trade marketing and marketing activity within your accounts to ensure delivery of planned volume, distribution and profit targets
13. Maximise account profitability through strategic business planning including, delivery of volume, revenue and margin, creative promotional work, and good use of data to provide customer solutions
14. Work closely with accounts to gain joint agreement on objectives for sales growth whilst managing each account selections process
15. Negotiate at senior level to ensure company maximises the advantage of long term supply agreements and optimises all elements of the marketing mix
16. Accurate forecasting and working closely with the planning team to ensure stock is delivered to accounts as required
17. Actively work as part of a team to create a solution oriented culture, leading by example
18. Maintain and further develop the strong commercial and personal relationships between Spin Master and your account base and ensure Spin Master remains a preferred supplier
How will you fit into the team?
The Key Account Manager reports to the Senior National Account Manager.What are your skills and experience?
19. Master’s degree
20. Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role in the CPG or Toy industry preferred
21. Retail experience preferred
22. Demonstrated success managing a business portfolio
23. Customer driven approach and a “go-getter” attitude
24. Ability to build and maintain relationships, both externally and internally
25. Demonstrated organization, planning and communication skills
26. Goal oriented to achieve targets through self-motivation, persistence determination
27. Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP, Salesforce an asset
28. Ability to create and maintain business presentations, Excel files, read POS reports
29. Thorough understanding and use of forecasting systems
30. Flexibility regarding accounts managed
31. Full clean driving license
32. Ability to travel and participate to International Trade Fairs in Europe
