Job Overview
A personal assistant is required to support a happy and lively 7-year-old boy living in Launceston. He has Autism level 3, Epilepsy and Global Development delay and would like someone who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support. He would like someone to support him with his communication. He loves being outdoors and going for walks and to the park to play. He enjoys swimming and soft play.
Responsibilities
* Support the boy in his communication.
* Provide 1:1 support during outdoor activities such as walks and park visits.
* Assist in swimming and soft play sessions.
* Enable participation in local community activities with his family.
Qualifications
* Some knowledge or personal experience working with young people is essential.
* A full driving licence is desirable.
Employment Details
Up to 3 hours per week are available, flexible, with some weekend and school holiday availability required.
The rate of pay is £13.45 per hour.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
