Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: £40,000 £45,000 + Benefits
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Blackburn. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of site production operations and play a key role in driving efficiency, performance, and team development.
The Role
As Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
You will work closely with internal teams to coordinate production schedules, manage resources, and maintain a consistent workflow across the site. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving and leading from the front.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, schedule, and manage daily and weekly production activities
* Ensure materials and resources are in place to meet production demands
* Monitor output and resolve production or capacity issues
* Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture
* Maintain accurate production records and KPIs
* Support stock control and work-in-progress tracking
* Identify and implement process improvements
* Manage, coach, and develop the production team
* Handle attendance, performance, and employee relations matters
* Support quality control and investigate production issues
Requirements
* Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment
* Strong organisational and planning skills
* Confident leadership and communication ability
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production planning systems
* Experience handling people-related matters in line with HR processes
Desirable:
* xsngvjr Experience in timber, sawmilling, or heavy manufacturing
* Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
* Understanding of lean manufacturing principles

Working Hours
* Monday to Thursday: 8:15am 5:00pm
* Friday: 8:15am 4:00pm
