The focus of the work of the post holder will be Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) services within East Sussex.
The Safeguarding Specialist Advisor will have a key role in promoting good professional practice andproviding all elements of the Safeguarding Agenda. Under the guidance of the Named Nurses for Safeguarding Children, the post holder will take the lead in providing Safeguarding supervision for the East Sussex services (School Health, sexual health and children's integrated therapies), training, specialist advice and support related to safeguarding children KCHFT wide.
The post holder contributes to developing the skills of the frontline practitioners, particularly in relation toassessment of risk.
The Safeguarding Service provides advice and support to KCHFT staff on all matters relating to safeguarding children and adults.
The Service facilitates supervision, consultations and training, as well as assurance that KCHFT operates to required Safeguarding standards.
KCHFT Safeguarding service also works closely with partner agencies to coordinate processes for safeguarding.
