Description
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
* Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling and analysing financial data.
* Process accruals, prepayments, and journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
* Provide variance analysis and commentary to support decision-making.
* Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects as required.
Profile
A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:
* A background in accounting or finance, with relevant qualifications or certifications.
* Experience in assisting with management accounts and financial reporting.
* AAT-qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA is a bonus.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
* The ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of accounting principles and practices within the business services industry.
