Job Description
3. Inspect social housing properties to identify disrepair, defects, and health & safety hazards
4. Diagnose causes of damp, mould, structural defects, and building failures
5. Assess condition against housing standards and regulatory requirements
6. Specify remedial works and prepare clear repair recommendations
7. Produce concise inspection reports with photographic evidence
8. Liaise with tenants, landlords, and contractors in a professional manner
9. Monitor repair works and verify completion to required standards
10. Support compliance with legal and statutory obligations
The Successful Applicant
11. Proven experience within the construction industry, particularly in the public sector.
12. Strong knowledge of building regulations and property adaptation standards.
13. Proficiency in preparing specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
14. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines.
15. Excellent communication and coordination skills with stakeholders.
