Aureos are seeking a Cable Jointer to join our growing team.
Cable Jointer
Base Location: South Wales or Bristol
What will I do in this role?
As a Cable Jointer, you’ll be at the heart of our electrical network, supporting both planned and emergency works on HV and LV systems. Your responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out jointing and cabling work on HV and LV networks
* Responding to emergency faults and participating in an out-of-hours standby rota
* Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with industry regulations
* Inspecting and maintaining cable systems to ensure performance and compliance
* Collaborating with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients to deliver a seamless service
* Maintaining accurate records and adhering to SHEQ policies
* Representing Aureos with a focus on safety, service, and professionalism
What do I need to be successful?
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
* DNO industry experience (UK ) with recognised jointing authorisation in LV/HV (11kV or 33kV)
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Power Networks Craftsperson
* A strong understanding of electrical systems and jointing techniques
* Flexibility to work out of hours and be included on a standby rota
* A full UK driving licence
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
* Experience working as an electrician
* Use of testing equipment and diagnostic tools
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
* Familiarity with various cable types and safety procedures
Nice to haves:
* City & Guilds 2339-17 or 2304 (or equivalent)
* Emergency First Aid at Work
* UKTA Asbestos Awareness
* SSSTS (or equivalent)
* Confined Space Training
* PASMA / IPAF
