Key Responsibilities
* Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing and feeding.
* Help patients access and use toilet facilities.
* Support patients to move safely and manage bed making, cleaning tasks and general duties.
* Collect pathological specimens such as urine, faeces and sputum.
* Provide emotional, personal, and professional support to patients and their families.
Training & Development
* One‑week intensive induction to enable completion of the Care Certificate.
* Ongoing training: 1 study day per month for five months, covering skills such as physiological measurement, maintaining skin integrity, cannulation, catheterisation and ECGs.
* Progression into Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker upon successful completion of training and competency assessment.
* Access to dedicated mentoring, continuous professional development and opportunities to transfer wards every six months.
Shift Pattern & Working Hours
* Ready to work a variety of shifts: mornings (7 am – 3 pm), short/long days (8–12 h, 7 am – 8 pm), evenings (until around 8 pm) and nights (7 pm – 7 am).
* Available any day Monday‑Sunday, including bank holidays.
* Full‑time applications only; no nights‑only shifts currently offered.

Recruitment Process
Remote HCSW interviews are conducted on Wednesdays via MS Teams. Successful applicants will be contacted for a screening telephone call and then invited for an interview.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous healthcare experience desirable but not essential.
* Must have the right to work in the UK with at least 9 months remaining on their visa at the start of the role.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
* Willingness to carry out a variety of tasks across all patient ages and backgrounds.
