Job Description
The Senior Design Engineer plays a key role in delivering high-quality technical designs, proposals, and quotations for sewage and surface water pumping systems. The role provides specialist technical expertise to support the efficient production of detailed designs, technical submissions, and comprehensive quotations in line with client requirements.
The position also contributes to the day-to-day operation and management of the business, supporting strategic development with the objective of delivering exceptional customer satisfaction, high-quality technical proposals, and sustained profitable growth.
The Senior Design Engineer will assist in maintaining the highest standards of Health & Safety and Quality, in accordance with current legislation and company policies.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with company and departmental management to assist in the formulation, implementation, and delivery of key business objectives.
2. Produce design submissions and quotations for medium to large wastewater schemes, including projects for water companies, developers, and infrastructure clients.
3. Manage, develop, and mentor existing and new members of the Design, Estimating, and CAD teams.
4. Identify new customers and develop strong, long-lasting relationships to maximise business opportunities and future growth.
