Hours we are looking for
Monday to Friday at our Wordsworth Afterschool Club setting 2:45pm - 5pm
Tuesday & Thursday at our Oakwood Breakfast Club setting 7:20am - 8:50am
Term Time Only
We would like to employee someone who is able to fulfil these hours at both settings.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the skills necessary to foster their development through play. This role requires effective communication and leadership abilities, as well as experience in childcare settings.
Duties
* Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their creativity and independence.
* Maintain a clean and organised play environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team atmosphere that prioritises the needs of the children.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £10.00-£12.55 per hour
Expected hours: 13.25 per week
