WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Lead Professional Sports Marketing Representative to lead the Senior Men’s Football Player portfolio in the United Kingdom.
The candidate needs to have:
1. You will be a relationship builder (internally and externally)
2. Experience in cross functional work streams and business development projects
3. Ability to balance day-to-day operational tasks with strategic outlook by region through lens of dimension.
4. You’re an effective teammate with a positive influence on your peers, colleagues & within the work environment
5. An expert negotiator with an ability to coordinate multiple external collaborators.
6. Business & Financial Competence: handle budgets and drive financial plans
7. Authority Football knowledge
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON?
8. Provide insight to EMEA Sports Marketing’s investments across Men’s Football Players – ensure Nike has the right Football Players working in collaboration with the EMEA Football SM team and Key City SM teams
9. Review and align Invest/Divest strategies against those portfolio investments for Men’s Football Players
10. Support high level sophisticated negotiations aligned to EMEA’s long term vision & strategy
11. Complete a strategic service vision aligned to Men’s SM leads to help Players reach their potential & strengthens NIKE’s partnerships
12. Support the overall EMEA Football Sports Marketing Brand Experience offense – align vision, strategy and plans across the Key City to help drive Football as a growth driver, improving our contractual rights to strengthen our connection with the consumer and fuel the business growth
13. Align our Football Players against NIKE’s purpose offense – sustainability, community, diversity and equality
14. Facilitate our Football Players connection to the product creation process to help drive innovation, performance and style for both on and off the field of play
15. Delivery a clear strategy to seek, sign and serve the best talent in the men’s game
Who you will work with
You become an integral part of the London Sports Marketing Players Team and ensure strong cross functional work across comms, brand, finance, SCI and SM finance.
You will have daily interaction with our contracted senior men’s players and their representatives.
Network with the wider football industry, including The FA, Premier League Clubs, PL Club Academies, coaches and agencies to understand the best talent in the UK and market value of contracts
Work with Brand team to deliver athlete brand plans according to our global athlete tiering strategy.
In this role you will report directly into the Sports Marketing Director Football Players for London.
What you bring
You are someone who feels very comfortable working with internal and external collaborators, a skill you would have developed by interacting with cross functional teams, football players, agents and clubs.
16. Partner negotiation experience
17. 5-10 years experience in athlete management or within the football industry
18. Ability to inspire change new ways of working and leverage athlete contracts
19. Ability to lead cross functional work streams and athlete plans
20. Relationship builder & influence skills
21. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to elicit information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas optimally
