Join The Manchester College as an Employer Outreach and Social Media Lead within our Careers, Employability and Business Relations team, where you’ll play a key role in connecting education with industry. This is an exciting opportunity to drive impactful employer engagement while leading creative, high-performing social media campaigns that bring our student success stories and employer partnerships to life. You’ll work collaboratively across the college and with external partners to build meaningful opportunities for learners, enhancing their progression into employment. With a strong focus on innovation, digital engagement and stakeholder relationships, this role offers the chance to shape how we promote employability and strengthen our presence across Greater Manchester. If you’re a confident communicator with a passion for outreach and digital storytelling, you’ll be at the forefront of making a real difference to our students’ futures.

We have an exciting opportunity at our City Campus Manchester to join our Careers, Employability and Business Relations Department as an Employer Outreach and Social Media Lead on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) basis.

Our City Centre campus is a flagship site in the heart of Manchester, offering cutting-edge facilities and a buzzing, creative atmosphere. Home to our Centre of Excellence for Creative and Digital Industries, it provides an inspiring setting for both staff and learners, with specialist studios, workshops, and collaborative spaces. Who are TMC?

The Manchester College is the Largest Further Education College in the United Kingdom and has the largest provisions for 16-19yrs olds, adults, and higher education in Greater Manchester. We are part of the LTE group that consist of MOL, Total People, UCEN Manchester, Novus, and LTE Group Operations. We currently support more than 25% of Greater Manchester’s learning provision and are currently rated “Good” by Ofsted. Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

7. English and Maths GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
8. A qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
9. Proven Experience creating B2B social media content.
10. Strong writing and editing skills.
11. Proven experience of impactful employer engagement and B2B outreach experience.
12. Track record of impactful social media campaign delivery.
13. Partnership development experience.
14. Data analysis capabilities.
15. Ability to analyse data.
16. Strong social media and digital design skills.
17. Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
18. Strong organisational and project management skills.
19. Analytical and problem‑solving capability.
20. Strong B2B and employer outreach skills.
21. Ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences including employers, staff, students, curriculum teams, and external stakeholders.
22. Excellent relationship-building, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
