Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is looking to recruit a registered mental health nurse to join the team in our psychiatric intensive care unit, bespoke therapeutic placement unit and dialectical behaviour therapy unit. This is a full time 37.5 hours role.
Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As registered mental health nurse, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
* Providing and supporting nursing care within the ward environment, including acting as a named nurse for a defined group of patients
* Assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care in collaboration with patients and their families/carers, ensuring it reflects individual needs and preferences
* Accurately observing, communicating with, and engaging service users to assess their needs and evaluate their progress
* Promoting and adhering to the DBT model (for DBT unit roles)
* Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance processes

The role requires a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC PIN and a minimum of six months post-registration experience in a mental health setting. Candidates should be confident communicators with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, demonstrating flexibility, innovation, and a strong motivation for quality improvement. Proficiency in IT and the ability to use electronic care systems effectively are essential. Additionally, a thorough knowledge of NMC standards and a commitment to best practice are required.
