1. FRCPath or equivalent
2. MRCP or equivalent
3. On the GMC Specialist Register - CCT/CESR(or within 6 months of date of interview)
Desirable criteria
4. MD, PhD or equivalent
Knowledge
Essential criteria
5. Broad based training in Haematology and its subspecialties
6. Broad based general professional training in general medicine
Desirable criteria
7. NHS experience within the last 3 years
Management & Audit
Essential criteria
8. Understanding the principles of clinical governance and its implications
9. •Ability to motivate and develop the multi-disciplinary team, balancing departmental and personal objectives.
Desirable criteria
10. Evidence of service audit, design or change management.
Teaching
