My client is actively seeking two experienced cooks/chefs who are eager to take the lead and prepare modern British cuisine and classics for an activity group.
Locations:
* One chef/cook based in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire
* One chef/cook based in Cuffley, Hertfordshire
Candidates must have a minimum of Level 2 Health and Hygiene certification and be prepared to start immediately. You should have a comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety, including board control, temperature probes, and maintaining accurate records.
You should be excellent with customers, capable of giving and receiving orders, and able to run a smooth kitchen environment.
Ideal candidates will be team players, bright, and possess excellent spoken and written English skills. The role requires the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
This is a short-term booking for 5 weeks. An enhanced DBS check would be advantageous. Candidates who are car drivers are preferred, as the sites are fairly remote. The role is commutable from London, but note there is a long walk at the end of the journey.
Applicants should have prior experience as a cook or chef, with a valid Level 2 Health & Hygiene certification. You should be comfortable creating food from scratch, managing stock orders, and setting up and cleaning the kitchen for service with all necessary tools.
The role involves prepping and cooking meals from scratch for 70 to 150 covers daily. Working hours are 2 pm to 8 pm, Monday to Thursday.
