Production Supervisor (Level 2) sought to join an award‑winning, GBP multimillion turnover food manufacturing company based in Bilston.
The company is privately owned and supplies numerous sectors including foodservice, retail, wholesale and catering, both in the UK and abroad.
Your Role As Production Supervisor
As a Production Supervisor (Level 2) you will manage the assigned production area including Line Operatives and Machine Minders, supervise production schedules, and ensure products are not over stocked.
You will manage the day‑to‑day operations of the area, processes, and systems to achieve productivity targets and maintain computerized controls while ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met.
Daily Duties
* Effectively manage all operations within the specified sections to ensure KPI targets and business objectives are met.
* Develop the team with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, build confidence, and ensure strong credibility of your line/area.
* Utilise production knowledge to ensure tight stock control and make continuous improvements.
* Ensure operations are conducted in compliance with customer specifications, whilst meeting cost, quality, productivity and H&S targets.
* Ensure adherence to Food Standards legislation.
* Meet production deadlines.
* Use a range of office software, including email, various Microsoft programmes and bespoke software.
* Develop and implement new equipment.
* Delegate work to staff and manage their workload and output.
* Promote staff development and training.
* Implement and promote equality and diversity policy.
* Attend training.
* Liaise with scheduling and planning departments.
* Monitor the stock and stock control and complete production schedules on time.
* Ensure quality and GMP standards are met.
* Fulfil objectives and KPIs from Production Managers.
* People‑management activities including recruitment and training, monitoring performance and progress, reviews and appraisals, disciplinary and grievance application, delegation.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Production Supervisor or similar.
* Experience in the food manufacturing industry.
* HACCP awareness.
* Experience of working to and achieving production KPIs.
* Effective communication skills at all levels.
