Role Overview
This position involves taking full responsibility for the end-to-end legal aspects related to projects, procurement, and vendor contracts within the organization. The role requires hands‑on experience in contract management across key functional areas of the power and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of contracts related to projects, vendors, and procurement activities.
* Gain exposure to legal and contractual functions in the power and infrastructure domain, including procurement compliance, Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), warranty clauses, and indemnity terms.
* Independently draft, review, and negotiate General Conditions of Contracts (GCC), Non‑Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), Letters of Intent (LoIs), Letters of Award (LoAs), lender‑related agreements, financial documents, and other commercial contracts.
* Oversee both pre‑award and post‑award contract processes, ensuring compliance, risk assessment, legal correspondence, claims, contract amendments, terminations, and closure.
* Support in dispute resolution by preparing strategic advice on pre‑litigation and litigation matters, reviewing procedures, and addressing legal risks.
* Collaborate with both internal departments and external stakeholders to draft and finalize various agreements, including subcontracting agreements, joint ventures, frameworks, and consortium arrangements.
Qualification & Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) from a reputed institution.
* Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in legal roles.
* Strong background in infrastructure or renewable energy industries is highly desirable.
* Proven negotiation and stakeholder communication capabilities.
* Proficient in written and verbal legal communication.
* Able to function autonomously as well as within a collaborative team environment.
* Prior experience in leading and managing legal teams is an advantage.
