Job Title: Science Teacher (KS3 & KS4) Location: Kingston upon Thames, South‑West London Key Stages: KS3 & KS4 (GCSE Science; with potential KS5 teaching) Start Date: September 2025 (full‑time, permanent or temp‑to‑perm) Ofsted Rating: Partner schools rated Good or Outstanding Role Overview You will join a collaborative and high‑performing Science department in Kingston, teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics across KS3 and KS4. Some roles offer A Level teaching. With well‑equipped labs, dedicated science technicians, and strong leadership support, you’ll be able to inspire scientific enquiry, critical thinking, and excellent student outcomes. Suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs. Responsibilities * Plan and deliver high‑impact lessons in Science across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 in some cases) * Monitor progress, provide meaningful feedback, and support students of all abilities * Work collaboratively within the Science team to develop curriculum resources and schemes of work * Foster a laboratory environment where practical work thrives and enquiry is central * Participate in extra‑curricular or cross‑college enrichment activities (e.g., science clubs) Requirements * QTS or equivalent qualification in secondary education * A science degree (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related) * Evidence of teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 expertise desirable but optional) * Strong classroom presence, excellent communication, and effective behavior management * Collaborative mindset and an openness to CPD and reflective practice
