Graduate Software Engineer
A fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Software Engineer to join a highly innovative, research-driven technology start-up working on complex, cutting-edge systems. This organisation is building advanced platforms at the intersection of AI, algorithms, and next-generation software, and is looking for high-calibre graduates to join their growing engineering team. You will gain exposure across the full stack, working closely with experienced engineers and researchers in a deeply technical environment.
Location: Cambridge – on-site 5 days a week
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum + benefits
Requirements for Graduate Software Engineer:
* Minimum of a 2.1 degree from a leading university in Computer Science or a closely related subject
* Minimum of AAB at A Level or equivalent qualifications
* Strong academic background, ideally from universities such as Bristol, Warwick, Manchester, Cambridge or similar
* Experience with software development across front-end, back-end, or full-stack technologies
* Good understanding of JavaScript and modern frameworks such as React or Angular is beneficial
* Exposure to back-end development and APIs
* Some familiarity with Python is advantageous
* Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in complex technical challenges
* Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a highly collaborative team
Responsibilities for Graduate Software Engineer:
* Contribute to the design and development of software across the full stack
* Support the development of front-end applications and user interfaces
* Work closely with back-end engineers to integrate APIs and systems
* Collaborate with technical specialists to translate complex workflows into usable software
* Assist in taking early-stage prototypes through to production-ready systems
* Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
* Participate in technical discussions and contribute ideas to improve systems and processes
