Shift Technician Location: Knutsford, WA16 9EU Hours of work: 43 Contract Type: Permanent We’re recruiting a Shift Engineer to join a skilled team on a prestigious contract in a modern, well-managed building with a strong client relationship and a collaborative environment. Job Description As Shift Technician, you’ll be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across both electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and plant reliability. You’ll also play a key role in fault finding, minor installations, and technical surveys, while ensuring all documentation is accurately maintained. This role offers access to training and development, including progression toward LV/HP Authorised Person status, and opportunities to support nearby sites when required. Key Responsibilities * Carry out PPM, reactive maintenance, and emergency electrical works as per the contract * Act as Authorised Person LV when required * Maintain high engineering standards to ensure the reliability of the plant and systems * Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and ensure QA procedures are followed * Maintain accurate records of all electrical maintenance and plant activity * Respond promptly to electrical faults and helpdesk requests, reporting actions taken * Conduct technical surveys, cost minor works, and support client requests professionally Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications * Proven experience in PPM and electrical reactive maintenance * Experience working in large, corporate or multi-building environments * Fully qualified electrician with 18th Edition and C&G Electrical Installations * Completed recognised Electrical Apprenticeship * IPAF and PASMA certifications preferred * LV/HV experience desirable – training can be provided if required * Strong understanding of electrical systems, safety standards, and compliance UK The Company ISS is a world-leading workplace and facility management company, connecting people and places to make the world work better.
