Salary: £34,000+

Job Description:
We are looking for a Legal Cashier to maintain accurate financial records, reconcile client and office accounts, process payments, and ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR). This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to handle high-volume transactional finance work within a manufacturing and engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform daily bank reconciliations for client and office accounts
* Process supplier invoices and staff expenses in Sage
* Reconcile counsel fees and other disbursements
* Prepare and issue disbursement and fee invoices
* Assist with SRA audits and ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules
* Produce financial reports and support ad hoc data analysis
* Support the wider Finance and legal teams with administrative and operational tasks
Key Skills:
* Accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, general ledger experience
* Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
* Knowledge of financial systems such as Sage, Xero, SAP, or similar
* Professional and discreet, handling confidential financial information
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent organisational skills, communication, and time management
Desirable:
* Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or in a legal finance environment
* Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
* Experience supporting SRA audits
