Job Description:
A highly successful global property consultancy has recently instructed Beach Baker to recruit a senior-level Project Manager or Projects Building Surveyor within their busy Newport office.
Role Features:
* Office based in the city centre.
* Part of a Project Management & Building Surveying team of 35 people (all based in Newport).
* Managing commercial sector projects (very little public sector work).
* Working with ‘Grade-A’ clients.
* Contract work typically ranges between £5M to £50M.
* Social and people-focused organization.
What’s in it for you?
* Fantastic office location with easy access to amenities including Cabot Circus, Clifton, and Harbourside. Modern staff gym, break-out areas, showers, cycle facilities, and more. The team generally works in the office 2 days a week, with the rest on-site and WFH.
* Supportive environment within one of the largest Project Management & Building Surveying teams in the region, with many team members having over 10 years at the company.
* Work with top clients (mainly pension funds) investing in property, ensuring a busy pipeline of projects into 2025 and beyond.
* Varied projects without being pigeonholed; the company supports specialization or creating a niche, making this role ideal for someone wanting to shape their own position.
* Manage high-level commercial projects impacting the local area.
* Regular social and networking events, including monthly pay-day drinks (paid by the company), quarterly meals, an annual company event, Christmas party, and charity days.
Employee Benefits:
Car allowance (dependent on level), discretionary bonus (generally paid unless during exceptional times like 2008 or COVID-19), 30 days annual leave plus birthday off if it falls on a weekday, private medical insurance, life insurance, company laptop and mobile, RICS membership fees, salary sacrifice schemes, and more.
Candidate Profile:
Ideally MRICS or MCIOB accredited. Candidates from commercial, construction consultancy, or client-side backgrounds are welcome. The role is suited for those aspiring to line management and leadership, with the goal of heading the project management department.
Applications will be handled confidentially by Matthew Clackson. Please call 07825 081 393 or send your CV (not necessarily up-to-date) to [emailprotected]. For more property jobs, visit www.beachbaker.co.uk.
