Occupational Therapist Functional Assessor
Permanent - full time or part time available (Mon-Fri). Mixture of remote and assessment centre working, offering an exceptional work-life balance.

What you will do
* As a Functional Assessor you will work autonomously to assess the cases of claimants who are applying for Work Capability (WCA), as part of the DWP Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS).
* Complete assessments with individuals who have a broad range of health conditions, with some assessments conducted remotely.
* Participate in an in-depth, fully paid training programme to equip you for the role; this role counts towards clinical hours to uphold your registration.
* Engage in a role that supports decision-making for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) by interpreting medical evidence and preparing comprehensive reports.

Responsibilities
* Use your clinical experience to understand how a patient’s health condition impacts daily life and functional ability.
* Work in an office/remote environment to complete detailed, meaningful, and respectful assessments via telephone, video, or face-to-face where applicable.
* Interpret medical evidence and compile findings into a comprehensive report to support DWP decision-making.
Requirements
* We can only accept applications from Occupational Therapists for this vacancy.
* HCPC registration is required.
* At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience; UK experience is essential.
* Proactive, keen to learn, and receptive to feedback.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and IT competency is essential.
