Overview
Electrical Site Construction Supervisor – LV/HV Projects at Staythorpe BESS, Newark, Nottinghamshire (NG23 5RG). Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Benefits + Company Vehicle. This is a role with G2 Energy (G2E), a NERS-accredited Independent Connections Provider (ICP) delivering high-voltage electrical and civil engineering solutions, specialising in Contestable Works up to 132kV with capability to deliver projects on National Grid infrastructure up to 400kV. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Construction Supervisor to oversee and coordinate on-site delivery for a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate LV/HV electrical installation works on-site.
* Oversee installation of switchgear, transformers, earthing, ducting, protection systems, and wiring.
* Interpret and deliver works to electrical drawings and DNO specifications (e.g., G81).
* Manage and inspect above- and below-ground installations.
* Support electrical testing, commissioning, and quality checks.
* Review RAMS and subcontractor documentation, ensuring compliance with the scope of works.
* Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
* Ensure compliance with NRSWA Section 50, NJUG guidelines, CDM regulations, HSG47, and health & safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
* 5+ years' experience in LV/HV electrical installations (HV essential).
* Strong background with switchgear, transformers, substations, and generators.
* Knowledge of DNO standards, G81 specifications, and industry best practices.
* Experience supervising subcontractors on technical electrical site works.
* Strong understanding of health & safety legislation (CDM, HSG47, etc.).
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Experience with works up to 132kV (preferred).
* Familiarity with DNO authorisations and SAP processes (desirable).

* Emergency First Aid / Fire Warden
* Full UK Driving Licence
