Role
The school seeks a well-qualified teacher of Physics from January or April 2026 to teach from Year 7 to Year 13. Depending on the notice period of the successful candidate, an earlier start date in the Autumn term may be possible. The role may be full-time or part-time; if applying part-time, please indicate this in your application and provide your preferred FTE. The ability to teach a second science at KS3 and/or GCSE would be an advantage; please provide details in your application.
Responsibilities
* Teach Physics to pupils across Year 7 to Year 13, inspiring enthusiasm for the subject and ensuring pupils reach their full potential.
* Contribute fully to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school; it is an expectation that all teachers have a tutor group within the pastoral system.
* Use ICT and interactive resources to enhance learning, plan effectively, and provide constructive feedback to support pupils’ progress.
* Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to curriculum development, including incorporating staff interests into the overall curriculum scheme.
Qualifications and profile
* Well-qualified subject specialist in Physics with the ability to inspire students and raise achievement.
* Experience teaching Physics at KS3/KS4/KS5 (including GCSE) preferred; ability to teach a second science at KS3/GCSE is advantageous.
* Flexible and collaborative team member able to contribute to the school’s teaching, pastoral and co-curricular ethos.
