Innovative fire safety engineering merges with sustainable design to set a new benchmark for urban industrial spaces. Is this role right for you? You'll either be working towards Chartered Engineer status or have a strong motivation to achieve this. If it's the latter, we will support you with what you need to succeed here.
As a Fire Engineer, you would be expected to:
1. Understand and implement the principles of fire science on real projects via the engineering process (goals, objectives, building appraisal and hazards, design fire scenarios, etc.).
2. Understand the Total Fire Safety concept: from client brief, through design and construction; considering the socio-technical context, seeking to pre-empt fire safety issues at different project stages, ensuring the end result meets the client brief.
3. Investigate and apply relevant legislation and design guidance for your projects.
4. Develop and implement fire strategies in collaboration with the design team and stakeholders.
