TIG Fabricator – Backshift
Job Summary:
You will be responsible for fabricating pipe arrangements from shop drawings, ensuring compliance with company standards while adhering to health and safety processes. The role requires a detail-oriented fabricator capable of interpreting drawings and meeting strict quality control measures.
Your hours will be Monday-Thursday 16:45-03:45, with overtime available at 1.5.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fabricate pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel & stainless steel pipe ranging from 65mm – 500mm) from shop drawings.
* Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and pipe preparation and fit up is carried out to the correct standard.
* To undertake training in line with company standards and complete Cross training in various welding activities.
* Ensure Company H&S Processes followed..
* To use precision measurement instruments and metal cutting and grinding equipment.
* Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its tooling.
* Clean tools, equipment, and work areas.
Requirements:
Essential:
* Minimum of 3 years’ operating as an established experienced TIG fabricator, that includes Pipe Fabrication.
* The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
* Able to use Shop floor hand tools like Grinders, Hand Plasmas etc.
* Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings
Desirable:
* Previous experience as a pipe fabricator, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG and able to use MMA.
* Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment
