Job Description
As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will:
* Lead, manage, deliver, and monitor procurement procedures and processes in accordance with relevant legislation and best practice.
* Manage the continuous review, development, and improvement of systems, processes, and services.
* Support managers with the procurement of a range of contracts for goods, works, and services in accordance with agreed deadlines and performance indicators to ensure value for money.
* Collaborate with managers to reduce procurement costs by identifying areas suitable for collaborative contracts and developing appropriate contractual arrangements.
* Provide procurement advice, guidance, and support to the senior team on strategic procurement matters.
* Liaise and communicate with suppliers, contractors, and other organisations, both verbally and in writing.
* Coordinate contract and supplier relationships, maintain the contracts register, and manage approved supplier lists.
* Research and analyse procurement projects to advise managers on the appropriate course of action.
* Manage the production of procurement-related data to meet public procurement obligations and support corporate objectives.
* Manage and support a small team.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have:
* CIPS qualification or be working towards it.
* Experience as a Procurement Manager or Senior Procurement Officer, including managing and mentoring teams.
* Experience in public sector procurement, particularly indirect procurement of services and goods (mainly FM, corporate, and professional services).
* Experience in managing budgets, suppliers, and stakeholders.
* Experience in project management, creating procurement strategies, and understanding statutory and legal requirements related to public sector procurement.
