YOUR NEW ROLE, WHAT'S INVOLVED?
* Provide technical and business development leadership across all projects and support team development.
* Lead development and delivery of the Land business strategy and action plans.
* Act as a trusted strategic consultant on statutory processes, industry practices and client expectations.
* Manage and lead project teams, deliver land right acquisition, consent document preparation, negotiation of Heads of Terms, research and interrogation of land and interest rights.
* Provide strategic advice on statutory powers, land acquisition and assembly projects.
* Day‑to‑day team management, ensuring quality output and technical excellence.
* Ensure team workload, resource allocation and budgeted productivity targets are met.
* Encourage professional development through mentoring and training.
YOUR TEAM
Part of a multidisciplinary WSP Land Team of 200+ consultants delivering high‑quality technical work to major transport, energy, utility and renewable energy projects.
WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE
* Experience in Transport, Energy and Water infrastructure development sectors.
* Experience in compulsory acquisition projects (CPO/DCO/TWAO powers).
* Track record of managing and delivering land‑related services, leading successful teams.
* Ability to reduce land risk and advise clients throughout project lifecycle.
* Strong communication, influencing and negotiating skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience training and mentoring team members.
* Knowledge of landowner negotiation and acquisition legal processes.
* Experience managing voluntary and compulsory purchase compensation claims.
* Desirable knowledge of urban and rural environments.
* Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
